Role:  Stores Person

Location: Stansted

Initially a Monday to Friday 09:00 -17:30 position before moving onto shift patter of 4 on / 4 off. Some flexibility will be required due to the nature of our operation.

Fixed Term until November 2025

Main responsibilities of the role are:

• Receiving and booking-in of parts

• Issuing-out or transferring of parts including Dangerous Goods items

• Processing of u/s parts, including the raising of repair orders

• Sourcing of urgent parts

• Communicate with the Technical Controller on stores-related issues whilst acting as Duty Storesperson

• Ensuring that all stores areas are kept clean & tidy and contain only items that should be stored within them

• Carry out periodic stock checks

• Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with Company procedures and instructions given

• Any other duties as requested by the Stores management team

Experience / Requirements:

• Must be familiar with EASA/CAA requirements relating to aircraft parts • Previous experience in an aerospace, automotive or manufacturing environment where traceability of parts is essential

• DG Approved – transport by Air, Road & Sea (or willing to become qualified during probation period)

• Holds a full, current driving licence

• Holds a forklift licence

• Has an awareness of CoSHH regulations

• Must be familiar with manual handling practices

• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

• Has good time management with ability to prioritise confidently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Experience of Microsoft Office including Excel

• Has the right to live and work in the UK

• Is able to pass a pre-employment drugs and alcohol test

 

This role requires access to operationally sensitive information and occasional airside access.

Applicants will be required to successfully undergo background checking to BPSS level (including identity checks, right to work, criminal records check and 5-year employment history).
