Location: This is a mobile/hibrid role where you will be required to attend Stansted once per week.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 14:30

Salary: Basic plus car allowance £76,000:00

 

 

   

 

 

  1. Job Purpose
  1. We are seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead revenue generation across
  2. Storm Aviations Line Maintenance operations and Learning Solutions Division (UKCAA / EASA Part-147 and Part-145 technical trainings, and corporate training). This role is responsible for identifying, winning, and expanding client relationships while delivering against defined sales targets. With a strong focus on Line Maintenance, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Storms commercial strategy and long-term growth.

 

 

  1. Job Accountabilities

 

1. Line Maintenance (Primary Focus)

  • Lead commercial growth across Storm Aviation’s global Line Maintenance network.
  • Own all associated revenue targets (monthly, quarterly, annual) and pipeline performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with airlines, lessors, and MRO partners.
  • Manage contract escalations, renewals, and commercial terms in line with inflation and agreed indices.
  • Evaluate contract efficiency by continuously assessing station-level revenue performance, direct and indirect costs against the agreed pricing models and assumptions
  • Serve as the escalation point for service delivery or operational issues, working closely with Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor account health, including debtor performance and overdue recovery.
  • Contribute commercial insight to strategic planning, pricing models, and service innovation.

 

2. Learning Solutions (Secondary Focus)

  • Support business development across technical and corporate training portfolios.
  • Sell EASA Part-147 training (basic, type, continuation) and Part-145 regulatory courses
  • Develop and manage proposals for corporate training engagements supporting leadership, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Structure training offers to meet both one-off and long-term client requirements.
  • Support the rollout of digital learning formats including remote delivery, blended learning, and eLearning.
  • Collaborate with training operations and instructional design teams to ensure training quality and regulatory alignment.

 

3. Sales Operations & Commercial Execution

  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Maintain an accurate and current CRM to support forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Produce commercially sound pricing models and contracts in line with Storm’s ‘Offer to Cash’ process.
  • Participate in bid reviews, tenders, and multi-service proposals to maximise win rates and deal integrity.

4. Market Engagement & Brand Visibility

  • Represent Storm Aviation at industry events including MRO expos, training forums, and leadership conferences.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Work with Marketing to support campaigns and develop sales content aligned to commercial goals.
  • Build visibility and engagement using LinkedIn and other professional digital platforms.

  1. Operating Environment

The role is based at the Head Office at Diamond Hangar, Stansted Airport, Essex or from home but travel will be required as a large part of the role

 

The normal working day is between 08:30 and 17:00 on Monday to Thursday and between 08:30 and 14:30 on Friday. 30 minutes is provided for lunch.

 

  1. Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

 

We’re looking for a target-driven sales performer with strong commercial acumen and

excellent relationship-building skills. An aviation background is welcome but not essential

what matters most is your ability to close deals, grow accounts, and contribute to Storm

Aviation’s next phase of growth.

 

  • Proven B2B sales experience, managing full-cycle opportunities from lead to contract.
  • Track record of exceeding targets and growing key accounts.
  • Understanding of (or interest in) aviation services, maintenance, or training environments.
  • Excellent communication and proposal writing skills.
  • Comfortable working with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Monday.com) and Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally as required
