Location:  Flexible

Salary: Competitive (plus commission structure)

Hours:  Full time (Monday to Friday)

 Job Purpose:

The Base Maintenance Sales Manager reports to the Head of Sales and is responsible for ensuring that the Base Maintenance business unit in Prestwick, Scotland exceeds its budgeted revenue & profit by the generation of new business as well as repeat business with close management of existing customer accounts.

Job accountabilities:

  • Seek, identify and qualify airline Base Maintenance clients with a view to securing profitable aircraft maintenance inputs

  • Customer visits to airlines and operators to establish upcoming release of base maintenance RFP's

  • Identify and pro-actively market all product lines in the base maintenance sector

  • Ability to produce and negotiate commercial proposals and maintenance contracts with customers

  • Oversight and support of the KYC process for all new and existing customers

  • Adhere to company's sales process

  • Work closely with the Base Maintenance Director to ensure that all customers receive excellent service

  • Maintain the company's sales pipeline and contract database

  • Manage, administrate and amend existing customer contracts

  • Represent the Sales & Commercial team at internal 'bid review' meetings

  • Regularly attend global MRO conferences and other trade events

  • Assist and advise in the production of new marketing materials

  • Identify and advise the business on significant trends and developments within the commercial aviation base maintenance market, with ability to identify trends and potential threats

  • Confident in using social media and other similar marketing tools

  • Ability to communicate and present forecasts

Qualifications:

·          5+ years of MRO sales experience, preferably in the commercial aircraft base maintenance sector

·          A highly motivated individual with multiple senior level contacts in the aviation industry essential

·          Highly organised, while demonstrating attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple ongoing leads.

·          Demonstrates strong prospecting follow-up capabilities, and able to see deals through from inception to completion.

·          First class verbal and written communication skills.

·          Ability to track personal KPI's.

·          Can cultivate and maintains long-term, value-added business relationships.

·          Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

·          Experience of sales forecasting and detailed cost analysis.
