Must Hold UKCAA License - Types: A320/A330 & 787/737
The B1 Licensed Engineer will work as part of a team, taking responsibility for the modification and rectification work required on the aircraft You will liaise with the Check Manager and review and approve the work of Mechanics where necessary. You will also complete any modification and rectification work required safely and accurately to meet agreed time scales. In addition, you will assume control of all documentation for aircraft under your control.
Reporting to the Check Manager/Shift Supervisor the role and the responsibilities of a B1 Licensed Engineer will be:
Using your experience within the Aircraft Engineering environment for all maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and defect rectification
You will supervise and delegate resources as the situation demands to ensure the smooth running of the operation whilst meeting both the Part 145 maintenance requirements; in accordance with the maintenance processes and procedures; and the customer’s Service Level agreements.
Maintain the highest airworthiness, quality, safety and performance standards and ensure all company and legal requirements appertaining to aircraft maintenance and inspection are complied with.
Exercise fully and within the privileges of the Company Authorisations held
Work to the required Company and Health & Safety standards.
Complete and maintain compliance with all Company training requirements required to carry out the role.
Support the Shift Supervisor and Check Manager with any required projects
Whilst upholding the highest level of engineering standards and practices, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate significant leadership acumen by driving and leading your team in delivering aircraft inspections, repair, overhaul and modifications you will ensure a handover is carried out verbally at the start and end of every shift. Complete associated paperwork for unserviceable components and record all maintenance activity performed with accurate man-hour bookings
Putting safety and reliability first, you will ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures whilst carrying out and certifying aircraft maintenance within the limits of your company approvals
Taking responsibility for all trades engaged in work on an aircraft which has been allocated
Assuming overall responsibility for all trades engaged in work on the aircraft allocated
Monitoring the staff under your control
Completion of tasks as requested by the Senior Engineers and management team
Aircraft preparation
