Interiors Technician Supervisor
We are looking for an Interiors Technician Supervisor to join our team at our London
Stansted hangar.
Reporting to the Interiors Manager, the main duties and responsibilities are:
• Act as Deputy to the Interiors Manager, assuming full responsibility for departmental
operations and decision-making in the Manager’s absence.
• Ensure the highest standards of aircraft cabin presentation are achieved.
• In conjunction with the Technical Services Engineers and the selected CAA Part 21
provider, assist in the development and accomplishment of modifications carried out
within the cabin, including but not limited to:
- Change of passenger layouts.
- Changes of emergency equipment layout.
- The replacement of surface covering materials.
• Leading the contracted re-role team during split class and full VIP re-roles.
• Ensure all documentation is available at the correct revision and controlled during
the role change.
• Constantly strive to improve personal knowledge and skill levels to allow the issue of
personal company task authorisations within the Workshop following training and
assessment.
• The safe use and handling of workshop equipment, tooling and materials.
• Ensuring all materials used are in shelf-life date and applicable Component
Maintenance Manual instructions are followed.
• Ensure the latest standards of equipment and furnishing presentation are always
adhered to.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop, workbenches and storage areas.
• Assist the Technical Controller and Engineers with ‘on aircraft’ trim and ATA Chapter
25 related defects.
• Research and ensure correct parts are ordered for defects.
• Keeping an up-to-date logbook record of training and tasks completed.
• Any other duties and general workshop tasks as requested by the Interiors Manager.
Requirements
• Basic A license is advantageous or be willing to study/obtain for A license or Cabin / Workshop Interior based qualification.
• Ability to gain approval as CAA Form 1 signatory.
• Ability to read and understand CMM/IPC and engineering drawings.
• Awareness of CAA Form 1 format and process.
• Awareness of Cabin material fire certification requirements desirable
• Minimum of 4 years aircraft interior maintenance/workshop experience.
• Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking ability.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent coordinating and supervisory organisational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently and meet deadlines or follow schedules.
• Hold a full, current driving licence.
• Have the right to live and work in the UK (sponsorship may be available).
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drugs and alcohol test.
This is a hangar-based role working Monday to Friday 09-1730 although some flexibility is expected to the nature of the role and our operation.
